The multi-turn range should not be interpreted as unrestricted continuous rotation; configure appropriate software limits and ensure the mechanical system can safely accommodate the commanded movement.

Choose the HX8-R28H-M when the controller needs RS-485 communication, ID-based addressing, command-and-response control, or position and status feedback. A PWM servo is generally more suitable when the application only needs a simple pulse-command interface. Confirm that the controller, wiring and software support the Fashion Star RS-485 protocol before ordering.

 

 

Can multiple HX8-R28H-M servos operate on the same RS-485 bus?

 

Yes. Each servo can be assigned a unique ID within the 0–254 address range, allowing multiple servos to share a supported RS-485 bus installation. The supported baud-rate range is 9,600 bps to 1 Mbps. Configure unique IDs and compatible communication settings, and size the power system for the combined load of all servos that may operate simultaneously. The ID range is an addressing range, not a guarantee that every installation can operate 255 servos at once.
