Overview

Lightweight Design for Hands-On Assembly

The kit includes 11 3D-printed structural parts and 7 joint servos for one complete 6+1 DoF leader arm. The finished arm weighs 721g. Assembly is a moderate, hands-on build; allow approximately 1–2 hours when following the illustrated guide.

12-Bit Encoders After the Build

When the build is complete, the kit delivers the same leader-arm performance as the Star Arm 102-LD: 12-bit magnetic encoders (0.088° resolution) across all 7 joints and a 420mm reach. The completed arm captures precise hand and wrist movements for the same teleoperation and imitation-learning workflows.

Broad Compatibility After the Build

After the build, the leader arm can drive the Star Arm 102-FL and compatible third-party follower arms (e.g., reBot B601-DM and Xinghai Tu). The completed kit supports the same multi-platform teleoperation workflows, letting one leader arm control multiple execution platforms.

Complete Tools for the Build

The box includes threadlocker, woodworking clamps, and the required screw kit for the build. Follow the illustrated assembly guide step by step to complete the arm.

After the Build: Calibration

Before powering on, align each Star Arm 102-LD joint to its zero-position mark by hand.

Open the Web-Based Control Interface and run one-click zero-point calibration.

Jog each joint in small increments to verify direction and range limits before teleoperation or demos.
